A dance performance with live musician Raîs Dia Mourad, one of the most talented sons of the famous rababa player Rais Mohammed Mourad from Louxor.
In those two performances, Raïs Dia will be accompanied by Laurence Stéfanidis on violin, creating a subtle and innovative dialogue between the two string instruments.
With, all along both performances, texts written by Lydie Obriet Besse telling us about the musicians tribes in Upper Egypt, the rababa music and its poetry.
« Cordes à Corps » performance de danse intemporelle et créative au son du rababa « live » avec le Raïs Dia Mourad, héritier du charismatique « Musicien du Nil » Mohammed Mourad Metqali de Louxor.
Laurence Stéfanidis au violon accompagnera le Raïs Dia au rababa, en un échange musical inédit, en un voyage hors du temps où le mouvement colore la musique.
Avec, au long de ces deux soirées de spectacle des textes écrits et dits par Lydie Obriet Besse pour nous conter l'histoire du rababa et de ses musiciens.
